Roger F. Cram - Bio and Resume

Roger F. Cram is the Director of Special Projects at Hiram College located in Ohio. Cram researched for five years “how” the famed Tuskegee Airmen, the first black U. S. military pilots in the early 1940s, solved their almost insurmountable problems peacefully. During his research, he discovered sixteen values the Tuskegee Airmen repeatedly used in determining their course of action to peacefully address their problems and developed a problem-solving matrix based on these techniques. Cram then compared these remarkable skills to the techniques used by other world heroes of peace. Cram found that Nelson Mandela, William Wilberforce, Desmond Tutu, Eleanor Roosevelt, Ginetta Sagan, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Booker T. Washington, and fourteen other world leaders of peace employed similar techniques while resolving their enormous challenges. Their amazing conflict-resolution skills enabled them to become one of the most distinguished and effective group of leaders in our world’s history. Based on these remarkable findings, Cram developed the curriculum he teaches at Hiram College entitled “Modeling Future Heroes - A Practical Application of Human Values.” This course presents these problem solving, values, and conflict resolution skills for practical applications in today’s various cultures.
